Segway Powersports Off To Record Sales Start In 2024
Despite a flat market, Segway Powersports has defied the odds and is off to a good start in 2024. The brand, albeit with its somewhat limited UTV sales history, has posted record numbers in Q1, coinciding with an increase in the presence of the company's dealer network.
Powersports Business reports that Segway really did start 2024 off on the right foot, with its Q1 results indicating a 309% year-over-year increase in wholesale sales and a 343% year-over-year increase in retail sales. Given, Segway is still very much building up its network and fan base, but it's still a good showing.
Much of this is likely down to interest surrounding the brand's offerings. Models like the UT10 (and UT10 Crew) appeal to more work-focused use cases, while the Villain and Super Villain are geared towards more hardcore sporting enthusiasts. Segway even has hybrid models they're rolling out, like the 330 horsepower Super Villain SX20 Hybrid.
