GBC Motorsport riders put together another strong day of ATV racing at what might be the most difficult stop on the GNCC Series – Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia.

Bryan Buckhannon started things off by leading much of the morning race in both the 4×4 Open class and the overall position. A last lap issue would drop Bryan from the leader board; fortunately his fifth place finish combined with his six wins keep him firmly atop the points standings.

Forrest Whorton continued his domination of the 4×4 Senior class this season with his seventh win, as well as scoring a season high ninth overall. BNR’s Ryan Smith earned his second consecutive 4×4 Novice class win, and Scott Day put in his best race of 2012 with a second place in the U2 class good for fifth overall. Kylie Ahart is quickly proving to be a threat in the Pro Women’s class after moving up this season, and her third place finish this weekend marked her second podium appearance.

Kevin Yoho matched his season best performance with a sixth place in XC1 and his consistency is helping him to climb the points chart, where he currently sits at seventh place Overall. Bryan Cook made another stop on his part-time campaign this season and put in yet another solid ride, landing in seventh place for the day. Johnny Gallagher followed Cook and Yoho home in eighth place and currently sits a career best sixth in the current Overall points standings.

DeRisi Racing’s Braden Henthorn made the best of a rough day as he came across the line in fourth, leaving him just one point behind the XC2 leader in a highly contested class.

Brycen Neal’s impressive season reached a new high as his 19th place overall points ranking allowed him to start the event in the fourth line with the XC1 and XC2 competitors. Neal put his starting spot to good use, running a solid race and grabbing his fifth College A class win, good for 14th overall on the day. Jay Shadron earned his seventh College B class win, and appears well on his way to the class championship.

GBC Motorsports’ GNCC athletes will be back in action July 7 in Millfield, Ohio.
