Grant program aims to develop career success in agriculture

Arctic Cat Inc. has announced its partnership with the National Future Farmers of America Organization (FFA).

Through this new partnership, Arctic Cat and its participating dealers will support local FFA chapters with grant and awareness programs to assist with youth scholarships, training and local events for FFA members.

“With more than 23 million jobs in the U.S., agriculture is our country’s largest employer and the backbone of our nation,” says Greg Williamson, Arctic Cat’s chief marketing officer. “FFA plays a critical role in the agriculture industry and the success of youth who aspire to be farmers, teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more. Arctic Cat will help grow and strengthen the future farmers of America through our participation in FFA’s grant program.”

Arctic Cat and its participating dealers created a cooperative program that will actively drive participation in FFA’s local chapter grant program. In addition, the company will display its ATVs and Side-by-Side vehicles at the National FFA Convention & Expo in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 28-31, 2015.

“We are thankful to Arctic Cat for being a supporter of the National FFA Organization and for raising financial support and community awareness about FFA,” says Molly Ball, National FFA Foundation president.

“The FFA creed begins with these powerful words: ‘I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds.’ Arctic Cat and its dealers share this conviction and, through this new partnership, will support FFA members financially and through targeted promotion,” says Williamson.
