Arctic Cat Drive Evolution TrailerWe’ve been lucky enough to flog the Arctic Cat Wildcat on some gnarly desert terrain, but not everybody has had the opportunity. If you want to get behind the wheel of this four-wheeled beast, Arctic Cat is hosting a series of Wildcat demos in Southern California’s Imperial Sand Dunes – aka Glamis.

“The new Drive Evolution Wildcat trailer display will be the epicenter of demo ride opportunities, as well as a place where Arctic Cat consumers can relax, and associated aftermarket partners can display their Arctic Cat off-road vehicles and product,” Arctic Cat says in a release.

Arctic Cat is inviting all Side x Side enthusiasts to experience a Wildcat first-hand on the following holiday weekends. More dates will be added in the future.

Endless Summer UTV PartyWhile summer may be a distant memory for some, the OHV season is just getting started in Southern California. To celebrate, the co-founder of the King of the Hammers off-road race has come up with the Endless Summer UTV Party in Glamis, which runs Oct. 18-21.

According to organizers, this is a family event with a luxury camping experience in a resort-like setting and the adventure of hundreds of miles of off-road riding opportunities at your feet.

“It’s not just a trail ride, or trade show; it’s all that, and the final salute to summer poolside with a cool drink and the soundtrack of fun.”

The Sand Sports Super Show is just around the corner and the American Sand Association (ASA) is trying to raise some money by raffling off two spectacular off-road machines.

A $20 ticket will give you a chance to win the grand prize Baja GTR by Sand Limo. Second prize is a Polaris RZR XP 900 White Lightning LE. That’s right, second prize is a vehicle worth nearly $17,000!

We here at ATV.com are not really familiar with off-road trucks like the Baja GTR, so we did a little sleuthing on YouTube to see what it was all about. All we can say is “Wow!”

Tin Bender JamboreeCalifornia’s OHV community is fighting hard to save the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area from being taken over by the Marines. One group, the Tin Benders 4×4 Club, is donating funds to help ensure civilians can continue using the largest OHV area in the United States.

The Tin Bender Jamboree attracted approximately 400 people and 110 Vehicles were officially registered for the event and therefore eligible for the free prize drawing. Roughly $10,000 was raised for the California Motorized Recreation Council (CMRC), which is leading the fight to save Johnson Valley as a premier destination for off-road motor sports events and family recreation. The Tin Benders $9,500 donation was pushed to $10,000 with a $500 donation from Mike Ruzicka, who donated art work for the event T-Shirts.

“This land is very important to all of us, we need to do everything we can to protect it” says club member and off-road racer Eric Anderson.
