    Yamaha Kodiak 700

When Yamaha took the covers off the new 2016 Grizzly and Kodiak ATVs, you could be forgiven for being confused. Both are 708cc Utility ATVs and share much in common, but they are intended for very different buyers.

Discuss at our Yamaha Kodiak Forum

To help explain exactly what each ATV is designed for and the differences between them, Yamaha released a video featuring Travis Hollins, ATV product planning manager. We are eager to test out both models together, but until then check out the video below for some clarification.

      ATV Tire Pressure

Tire pressure can play a key role in the traction, ride quality, and handling of your ATV.  It’s something that should be checked before every ride for safety and to help achieve optimum performance.

Knowing what tire pressure to run begins with knowing the recommended pressures for your tires. For example, the Yamaha Raptor 700’s tires have a recommended operating pressure of 4 PSI, with a minimum pressure of 3.6 PSI, and a maximum seating pressure of 36 PSI. These numbers will vary from tire to tire and can be obtained by checking your owner’s manual for original equipment tires or with the tire manufacturer for aftermarket tires.

Yamaha Raptor 700R Engine Break In

The first thing most of us want to do when we take home a new ATV is squeeze the throttle and start going fast. While that is a good way to get your adrenaline fix, it’s not the best thing for your ATV’s engine.

To help consumers get the most out of their machines, Yamaha is putting together a series of Sport ATV tech tip videos. The first video, which you can see below, smartly tackles the dos and don’ts of breaking in a new engine.

          Polaris RZR Suzuki GSXR

We recently saw perhaps the coolest Polaris RZR video in the history of the Internet. You need to see it too.

Not convinced? What if we told you it involved a RZR racing around a frozen lake with a Suzuki GSX-R sportbike, both outfitted with studded tires? Is this still not enough for you? How about an angry ice fisherman lobbing grenades that result in explosions of fire and ice around the vehicles?
