We break down helmet options by price point
In January we showcased just about every cold-weather helmet we could find. Since summer is in full effect, we thought it was time to look at regular open-face ATV helmets.
We’ve broken down this guide by price. You will find helmets in this guide starting as low as $80 and up to $745. Prices will vary at different retailers. While these helmets are made of different materials and have different features, each is designed to help keep you safe in the event of an accident.
As a friendly reminder, even if it gets really hot where you ride, you still need to wear a helmet. In case you think helmets are not necessary on an ATV, keep in mind that that vast majority of fatalities occurred when riders were not wearing a helmet. This also rings true for UTVs, where an astonishing 97.7% of riders and passengers killed from 2003-2011 were not wearing a helmet.
