Macon, Ga. facility, training camps operating through to spring

For those hoping to get some ATV riding done over the winter, Echeconnee Off-Road Park in Macon, Ga. will remain open during January and February and possibly further into the spring.

“With all the national racers heading south during the winter to stay in shape and get all the practice in that they can before the beginning of the 2008 season, we wanted to offer them a place to practice that was not quite as far as Florida and offer the racers an excellent practice facility,” says track owner Dick Rich. “We are keeping Echeconnee open all winter long with daily track grooming, open gates and hookups.”

Echeconnee will be open from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Saturday, at a full day rate of US$20. For those who want to stay overnight, hookups are available for an additional $20 per day and include water and electricity.

“We won’t have any EMS services during practice and all riders will be required to sign a release form before being allowed to practice,” says Rich. “There will be track personnel on site each day of practice and my son, Jason, will be living at the track to head up our practice staff.”

Training camps will also be available during January and February. Dr. David Reise of Moto TST Training will be conducting the camps, which are designed to enhance a rider’s core strengths and endurance.

“We’ve already had our first training camp of the year and Dick and Jason Rich have the Echeconnee facility in top notch condition,” says Reise. “The track is perfect for practice and training. If a rider can conquer the sands of Echeconnee along with our training program, they’ll be hard to beat on any other national track in the United States.”
