Long-time GNCC supporter Kawasaki Team Green has almost doubled its racing contingency payout for the 2009 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series compared to last season. Their 2009 GNCC contingency payout for bikes totals a whopping $595,950, with an additional $187,200 available in ATV contingency.

“We wanted to show our commitment to off-road racing and the consumers that race our product week in and week out in the GNCC series,” says Kawasaki off-road supervisor Jason Smigel. “The pay out for the premier classes is the best available and with the new product to back it up, it’s a perfect time to be on a Kawasaki.”

Kawasaki awards the XC1 class race winner an incredible $10,000, followed by $5,000 for second, and $2,500 for third. The XC2 winner earns $2,500, second takes home $1,500, and $750 for third. Not only are the payouts higher, they are deeper with the top-10 in both classes taking home a portion of the reward.

“Kawasaki is really proud of its new product and truly feels the new KX line-up is the best product for cross-country racing,” says Smigel. “With such a good product, we wanted to back it up with the best contingency program available.”

The Kawasaki program offers contingency from GNCC Youth classes all the way up to the pro ranks on bikes, and covers a variety of ATV classes from the utility ranks to the pros.

The 2009 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series begins with The Parts Unlimited River Ranch in River Ranch, Fla. on Feb. 28 to Mar. 3.
