Outlanders sweep 4x4 class at Big Buck GNCC

Can-Am’s race team put on another strong display in the morning race at the Big Buck GNCC in Union, SC on April 4.

Can-Am X-Team racer Lexie Coulter was less than one second from the Big Buck GNCC morning overall as she finished second overall in front of more than 280 other ATV racers. This is the second GNCC in-a-row Coulter has piloted her DS 450 EFI ATV to the morning podium.

“Each week our racers and teams are improving and building upon successes,” says Delton Bohlman, racing manager for Can-Am ATVs at BRP. “The Can-Am ATV racing machine is up and running across North America and everyone looks forward to working toward winning multiple championships.”

Lexie Coulter rides to an impressive second-place finish in the morning race at the Big Buck GNCC.

Other racing highlights from the Big Buck GNCC included Team Warnert / Can-Am racer Bryan Buckhannon taking the 4×4 Open win on his Outlander 800R EFI ATV in front of fellow Can-Am rider Scott Kilby. Team Warnert’s Michael Swift continues to take class wins in the 4×4 Limited as he and his Outlander 800R EFI remain unbeaten after four rounds of racing. Rounding out the 4×4-class sweep was Warnert’s Cliff Beasley who took the 4×4 Limited win on his Outlander 500 EFI ATV. In the U2 class, Warnert racer Rick Cecco took the holeshot and finished second in the class aboard his Can-Am Renegade 800R X.

One of the largest mud races of the year also took place this past weekend in East Texas at the Mud Creek Off-Road Park. Can-Am racers aboard both Outlander MAX ATVs and Renegade ATVs took to the mud pit and had much success during the day and under the lights. The Gorilla Axle Powered by Can-Am race team sent several racers to the finals and came away with podium finishes in the Pro class, Endurance Challenge and the Mud Chic Shootout.

Team Warnert Racing / Can-Am racer Cody Miller and Team Motoworks / Can-Am pilot Brandon Smith both finished in the top 10 overall at the AMA ATV Motocross Championship Bluegrass Nationals in Kentucky. The two DS 450 riders finished hard in both Pro-class motos with Miller finishing in the top five.
