  • I love the machine
By Christopher Pilgrim (I am an Owner) on Aug 16, 2021

It has a little less than 2000km on it and has been a joy to ride. I just wanted to let everybody know of my issue. The rear end started making scrunching noises. I took out the fill plug and didn't see any lube in it even while spinning the wheels watching the main gear roll over. On the bright ...

  • well built machine with a couple of very small design flaws.
By David l Davis (I am an Owner) on Sep 19, 2017

I have been wheeling in full size vehicle for years. I decided to go to a smaller vehicle as the off-road parks were catering to them more and made it easier to get out and have fun by not having to search for a park. I chose the Arctic Cat 550 TRV XT as it had everything I wanted on top of being ...

The only issues I have found for it which may not even be a factor for others but I didn't know about them prior to purchasing.

    1. Rack Accessories. Other then for work or hunting uses your kinda out of luck. The speed-rack system is nice looking and all but good luck finding a drink holder for them. The bars are larger diameter then normal so things like cup holders and mounts for Go-pro cameras don't fit. Bungee cords don't fit well either. I found a cup holder for a bicycle that I was able to make work.

    2. Customizing. Your not going to find a lift kit or a snorkel kit for this model. They just don't exist in the factory or aftermarket market. You would have to build one on your own.

    3. Overall Price. It has a lot of bells and whistles when compared to others but most of them are cosmetic. The lights are cool and all but they don't justify the higher price. The electric steering and electric four wheel drive with lockers are great and work flawlessly but most major manufacturers are starting to implement them as well.

Again these issues may not be a factor and yes the price is higher for a comparable model but it does defiantly stand out in a crowd because of them but I would have given up the lights for a cut in price. I am not going to get rid of mine due to the small issues, I will just make due or modify it myself if I choose to later on.

Overall itsd a great bike and again it rides better then any other bike I have ever rode. and NO I dont work for them or am being reimbursed in any way (although I wouldn't mind a little reimbursement , lol).

Picture is from a group ride with my bother in laws.
