Outstanding Machine
By Matt (I am an Owner) on Apr 26, 2015I ride extensively throughout Nevada and Idaho. I upgraded to this ride to get a softer ride and a legal second seat. MPG is important to me, because my longer rides are round trip from 850 miles up over the course of a week, riding about 12 hours a day for 6 days. I have to carry extra gas of course, ... but the less, the better. During my break-in trip recently in the Stillwater range east of Fallon Nevada, I got about 26 mpg. I was usually riding in high range, but there was also a very steep and long peak climb where it was put in low, with 4WD. It climbs wonderfully. I never detected any wheel slippage. The long wheelbase certainly added to my comfort level. Elevation ranged from about 4000 to 7500 feet. I slso put it through the lower dunes at Sand Mountain during this trip for a few miles...and I realize at writing this that I should have put it in low, but I didn't and it still managed fine. The power steering is great...I found I liked it on the lowest setting the best, so as to give my arms some resistance when changing riding positions and a little drifting. I love the bike so much I wish I could buy a second. My other quads are Yamaha and Suzuki. Note that the bike doesn't have a rush of power when you hit the throttle once your are moving along pretty well - it made me sort of think I was driving a turbine-based engine. In that regard, though I found the bike would ride faster than I initially realized. It's not a rocket, but it scoots along quite nicely and it feels like you are riding a luxury car. Down side? Lack of hard cases for the back of the bike that can accomdodate the passenger seat. FYI i bought the winch at the time of purchase - it is the one option you really should have the dealer install for best fit and finish...and this bike doesn't require a bracket - it is integrated in the frame.
