Line-up features new rubber compound and extra sidewall ply

International Tire Products (ITP) of Ontario, Calif. has given its successful TerraCross R/T tire line a face lift.

For 2008, ITP has updated the line to feature all-new XD (Extreme Duty) construction. The tires now have an extra sidewall ply and increases sidewall and tread rubber thickness for improved puncture protection. ITP also changed the rubber compound itself with an extended wear formulation for longer tread life.

“Combine the TerraCross R/T’s proven performance with this new level of durability and reliability, and you won’t find a better ATV/UTV tire anywhere,” ITP says.

All 14-inch sizes are UTV rated at 1,000-pound maximum load capacity per tire at 12 psi, while all 12-inch sizes are now UTV rated as well.

Utilizing radial construction for a smoother ride, ITP says the TerraCross R/T significantly enhances operator comfort and confidence on hard-pack surfaces. It’s unique, interlocking tread pattern and wide footprint helps deliver exceptional traction and flotation, which, according to ITP, makes it ideal for mud, snow and sand.

The wrap-around shoulder lug design provides excellent sidewall protection and grip when rolling over trails with large ruts and rocks.

“Despite its super-tough 6-ply construction, the TerraCross R/T is surprisingly light in weight,” says ITP. “It’s the best of all worlds: highly capable and reliable in loose and rugged conditions, yet smooth and sure-footed on smoother terrain.”

ITP’s TerraCross R/T is available in a variety of 12 and 14-inch sizes, including two new 14-inch sizes for 2008.
