Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000i

My first trip was to Johnson's Valley, I was very impressed with it suspension and its rock crawling ability. The next three trip were to Glamis where we found it could go across the whoops at the bottom of Oldsmobile at 70 MPH no problem. Our long-travel LS3 powered buggy can’t handle the whoop-de-...doos better. This thing is all about suspension. I wish it had a little more power delivered to the ground. Our XP900 will be it no problem in a drag race, but not through rough terrain. It is now out in Lake Havasu where it legally drives the streets and there are plenty of trails to fly down/over. I have about 550miles on it and have had to replace the speedometer sensor, but that was it. Still have the original drive belt and I am not burning oil, or leaking anywhere. I am sorry to hear about the other two posters experience. I love our Artic Cat, and prefer it to our xp900, all though the drag racing son-in-law prefers the xp 900. But we have not had any mechanical problem with either. I would say they are both excellent, but there is no way the xp can keep up on rough terrain. JUNK!!! Wild cat

25 miles leaked over 1 qt of oil.
not cotter pins on any of the whels, blew belt at 150 miles and you cant change it on the trail!! traded it back for my polaris 900 rzr that has more topend power then the wildcat for sure!!

not very happy

was happy at first, then the leaks started, after 200 miles water pump leaking rear differtial leaking and rear brake line leaking,

after taking in for service and it sitting for 2 weeks i found out that arctic cat does not pay as well as other manufacteres on warranty work, so im sure my cat will ...get pushed back as long as there are other bikes there for warrany work! Read Full Review

Awful...

Purchased the Wildcat as soon as I could find one thinking it was an upgrade to the RZR. At 210 miles the vehicle has spent months in the shop and Arctic Cat will not warranty anything. Problems: BENT rear control arms, bad front control arm bushings, sloppy steering, and awful suspension.



After... several dealer trips and trying to work with Arctic Cat directly I am left with a $17,000 machine that I cannot get warrantied. Perhaps the most irritating part is that after waiting a week for a return call from Arctic Cat customer service I asked to speak with a supervisor and was hung up on. Not what I expected.

I would highly recommend waiting for the Can-Am Maverick or sticking with the XP. Learn from my mistake!!!

WILDCAT SEEMS PURFECT

i just finished riding my new cat today and i can say im honestly super impressed. the suspension is everything they talk about. the comfort and style get a 10/10. the only mod i will be making is perhaps an exhaust change to a muzzy for an additional little boost of hp. would strongly recommend i...t.remember...your probably buying this for off roading comfort and fun, NOT to drag race on highways.
