  • Good gear , lots of users here in Nova Scotia
By Serge menard (I am an Enthusiast) on May 12, 2017

Seems the same spelling challenged writer produced the previous reviews or there's a crazy coincidence going on. Lots of commander owners in this region- riding, plowing, hunting, commander excels in all and is a great used buy.

Too many shill reviewers trying to undermine this well built ...

  • Commander 1000 scarey
By Daryl Loreth (I am an Owner) on May 29, 2013

Have a 2012 commander, biggest mistake I could have made. Cannot keep belts on it, always broke down, cannot get any help from dealership in Red Deer Alberta. That business should lose there license. To everyone DO NOT BUY one,,Daryl

  • Very happy
By John (I am an Owner) on Apr 16, 2013

I have had my commander for three years now and I am 100% satisfied with my investment. Lots of power, climes any thing that's in my way and mudding is a blast! I have hauled two moose out of the bush and many other animals and I have never had a problem. But it was hot in the cab so I put in a ...

Done lots of mods and am very happy with my machine.

  • not great
    By 1523932083 () on Sep 14, 2012

I just purchased a commaned 1000 after hearing how great BRP products were susposed to be. I am satisfied with the performance but as indicated in previoius reviews the noise from the rear end and the heat from the console is really a disapointment. You have to howler to talk to the person beside ...

  • Lots of bad things about this machine
By Robert Leib (I am an Owner) on Jun 18, 2012

Wish I would have read the other reviews before I dropped $20K on this machine. Where do I start? Let's go point by point.

    1. Noisy - Really noisy in the cab. Dealer says it is because I have a windshield installed. I need to wear ear plugs or I feel I will go deaf running this thing. ...

    2. Dust comes up through the gear shift area. It is like someone turned on a sand blaster and just sprayed you with sand and dust.

    3. Heat. It feels like someone is holding a hair dryer on you while you ride.

    4. Service. Our machine had a bad rubbing sound from the moment we got it home. Noticed it at 2 hours. Called the dealer at 8 hours as it became unbearable. Took one month to get a service appointment. Was told it is the rear differential and drive shaft. BRP was negating warranties if you put on wheel spacers and different tires so this may not be warranty. They are holding my machine hostage unless I pay $1600 for service or I wait until BRP decides if it will honor it's warranty. This machine is brand new. Would never buy another BRP product.

  • best side by side yet
By nick (I am an Owner) on May 02, 2012

I purchased a 2012 commander xt 1000 about a month ago and since have driven it 400 miles and put approx 16 hours on it. Prior to this I owned a 2009 Polaris RZR-s, and prior to that a 2008 Rhino 700. The fit and finish on this machine is much better than the polaris and on par with the yamaha. ...
