Best V twin Period...

I have owned and still own several ATV's ranging from Yamaha, Polaris, Kawasaki and Can Am. The 2010 Can Am 650 XT simply puts them all to shame. The ride alone is enough to make me want to ride this quad in front of the others. Smooth power, easy steering and fun to ride. I'm a Brute Force 750i ...guy. The Brute is a great machine for the money but the 650 XT is light years ahead of the competition. I really like the power steering on this machine. The suspension is great. The power is amazingly smooth. You have to ride one to know what I'm talking about. The power band pulls you all through the rpm range. There are no fast jerks or flat spots. The Can Am engineers did an amazing job. The fuel tank is only 4.3 gallons though. I wish it was closer to 5 - 5.5 gallons like the Brute. Ride one of the 650 XT's and you'll be sold. Good Buy

I purchased my 650 XT back in May of 2010. It's been a great quad. In fact it's my favorite in the bunch we own. We own a brute force, yamaha grizzly and polaris sportsman. They are all good however the can am is the most comfortable, quickest, fastest, and overall the most fun to ride. Gas mileage... is good after you break it in (after about 150 miles). It's a little noisy but I hear can am's are not known to be quiet. The visco lock is great for 2010. This is the best quad I have owned so far. I really like the way it sticks to the trail and the ride is really smooth. A little bit faster than the BF 750, a little better ride than the sportsman and I trust the machine to stay on the trail. Great Quad

Have been riding atv's since they were invented. Not bragging just want everyone to know I'm not new to the game. The 2010 Outlander 650 EFI is a great machine. The power steering has a perfect feel, the power is amazing and the suspension is second to none. This is the best overall quad I have owne...d. Polaris makes a good machine and the Kaw BF is nice too but this thing is so well balanced compared to the others. I ride about 2,000 miles a year so I'll let everyone know how durable the 650XT is shortly. I have never had an issue with any of my Can Am's though so I don't expect any problems. Many people have asked and this quad will do 73- 74mph all day. Depends on how you break them in. I wish the seat was a little longer and the air cleaner was easier to get to. Read Full Review

Best Quad I've owned so far

I purchased the 650XT a few months ago. I have nothing good or bad to say about the reliability or duarabilty yet. I just haven't had it long enough to comment. With that being said - this is one of the most comfortable quads I have ever ridden. I have had 5 quads (including one with elka shocks) an...d this is the best handling machine yet. The power is smooth, the ride is comfortable, it is well balanced and it is GREAT on trails. I really like the way the machine pulls through the rpm range and the power steering is incredible. You have 2 modes to choose from and the max setting is great on rocky uneven trails. I like speed and I have had this stock machine up to 74 on hard packed trails. There are many decent quads available but after riding the Polaris and Honda brands I felt this one was better balanced. Many people make comments on the price but where are you going to purchase a 60hp machine with power steering, winch, radials, aluminum rims, stainless steel brake lines, tach and perfect suspension for this kind of money? You could purchase a BF 750i and purchase all the above items for around 11k or more depending on the shocks and still not have this kind of balanced machine. I still ride my Polaris but I'll most likely be selling it soon because the 650XT is darn near perfect. Could use a bigger gas tank, the oil filter makes a mess when changing and wish it came with skid plates though. Read Full Review

Great ATV

I purchased my 2010 Outlander a year ago. It has 900 miles on it. This is the smoothest running ATV I have had. Very dependable, fast and durable. I really like the power steering and having the ability to adjust the power sensitivity. The 4wd system works great. Just when I think I'm stuck the 4 wh...eels lock and pulls me out without fail. The seat material could be a little better and thicker but other than that you will not be disappointed. The gas milage is better than most 750's or 800's but it has the power to keep up with them if not out perform most of them. It's not a sport quad but it's close. I also have several other machines. My Polaris Sportsman keeps breaking but the can am is problem free to date. Although it should be noted this atv is only a year and a half old. Do not shy away from the price tag. Power steering, perfect suspension, fuel injection, remote winch, wind guards, great grips, great gas milage, lots of power, decent storage, security key and great radial tires do not come cheap.
