I've had my uforce 800 for 3yrs and the only problem I've had is bushings in the front wheels an that's because I didn't keep them greased. It's like they say if you abuse your machines they'll cause you problems and money.

  • Where to start?
By TIM (I am an Owner) on May 07, 2018

I purchased this machine in June of 2017, The appeal was the price........but as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" I should have used my better judgement on it when I went for a test spin & it died on me. It started having issues right off the bat, brake issues from factory, it runs ...

lots of problems in the first few months of ownership. holes in floor, stalls randomly, hard time shifting gears( low high and reverse). small gas tank for the pore fuel economy. engine brake barely works and the brakes have failed and warranty doesn't want to cover it.

I have owned my uforce for a month. There is a hole in the floor from a stick poking the floor. it can be hard to shift from reverse to low or high gear. One other problem with the machine is the gas tank is way too small.

It does have a lot of power, and can handle a lot of mud and rough terrain. ...

  • I Really Enjoy My UForce 800
By Ken M (I am an Owner) on Sep 11, 2017

I have owned my UForce 800-3 for about a month and a half now. In addition to this UTV I own two other ATVs that are not CFMotos.

Why the UForce 800? I wanted to add a UTV that I could use for light work, yet had enough sport qualities to take trail riding too. After probably 3 years ...

    1. CFMoto is sticking around. After being in business for more than 25 years, their North American market seems to be steadily expanding. In SC I have 2 dealers within about 25 miles and a few others still within a reasonable driving distance.

    2. Reviews from both users and professionals have given the CFMoto consistently high reviews for quality and value. Just here on ATV.com the 2017 UForce 800 is ranked #2 out of 115 UTV's; only being beat by the 2015 UForce 500. A search of online sale sites will yield very few used CFMoto machines for sale; which tells me CFMoto owners are holding onto their machines.

    3. The cost difference between CFMoto machines and other lines appears to provide a better return on investment. The cost difference between this UTV and a comparable UTV from some other brands can be between $3k-7k, for a comparably equipped machine.

    4. I really liked the size compared to some other utility UTV's; it's no too big. To me this really fits into a sport utility UTV catagory. It shares many of the features of the CFMoto ZForce 800 (motor, CVT, aluminum wheels, tires, etc), which is CFMoto's Sport SxS. It works with a shock assisted dump bed and 2" receiver hitch that can tow 1250lbs. It can also play with its shared ZForce components and 57" width. For me, this machine is turning into a good median between work and play. I don't farm, but I can fill the back with tree stands and food plot materials; as well as ride the trails sized for sport SxS's and ATV's.

    Some other thoughts so far:

Engine & power: reviews have been complimentary of the 800 motor and I have found the motor to be strong enough for this vehicle with very good acceleration.

Ride: I think this is a very nimble machine that rides very well. It comes with adjustable shocks if a stiffer ride is needed. The driver can select 2wd, 4wd and locking 4wd.

Seats are very utilitarian, but suprisingly ergonomic and comfortable. The driver's seat also slides back and forth to adjust for driver height.

Cab ergonomics are good. Display is In the center in an LED display that is easy to read when driving. There is a glove box for storage where the corded and wireless winch remotes are stored, an open storage box below the glove box and a decent sized storage box below the driver's seat (where I store all of my winch accessories [tree saver, snatch block, soft shackles, gloves, tow strap, etc]). The light controls are on the steering column like a car. There are 3 punch outs for adding accesssory rocker switches. I easily added LED lights on my roof and front bumper.

The bed is decent sized and easy to tilt. The tailgate is easy to remove if the need arises. My wife has honey bees and there is enough room to carry all of her equipment.

Battery, fuses and relay location. They are all located high up under the hood, very easy to get to, away from water and mud. There is also another storage box with a lid under the hood that can be used for storage or a second battery if needed. The box even has hooks for a battery strap.

My only negative remarks about this machine would be:

    1. Initial acceleration can be choppy until you get used to it.

    2. Heat radiating through the center cup holders and gadget tray. Right below them is the rear cylinder head. I reduced some of the heat by insulating under and around the cup holders and gadget tray with an adhesive backed heat barrier. From what I've read, some level of heat is a complaint of most UTV's though.

    3. I would like to have the accessories available on the CFMoto Canada site available here in the U.S.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the CFMoto UForce 800 and would encourage anyone in the market for a new UTV to give them a serious look.

I uploaded separate pics of my wife and I using our UForce 800, so I did not upload them again for this review.
