    after one year the gas gauge stopped working. Only had 22 hours on the vehicle. Had to pay for a new one.

    After 164 hours the clutch/transmission went out, which is today. I understand this costs around 4 or 5 hundred to repair. I also heard is is a defect many owners have experienced.

    Ours had a grinding noise in the front differential (read about this problem before we test drove one) and the dealer replaced a defective pinion (a known problem from the factory on 2011 825i machines) and the noise disappeared. It shifts hard in 4WD, but so far, I have been unable to get it stuck. ...
