Kymco 450i review after one year
By Ken Reeves (I am an Owner) on Jan 21, 2017Just one year ago I purchased a new Kymco 450i, I was looking for a more compact UTV and this model seem to fit the bill. When compared to other brands of similar size UTV's I found the quality of this Kymco model appeared to surpass the other brands I had looked. The Kymco dealer was king enough ... to allow me into the service dept to be able to crawl around, under and thru this machine. They even removed some panels to allow me a better view of this machines construction. I was really impressed with the continuous all around welds on the frame components, no bent sheet metal parts here, everything was heavy walled steel tubing and full continuous welds unlike other manufacturers hit and miss weld jobs. The UTV steered so easy even in diff lock mode that power steering would never be needed, yes you can easily steer with one hand in diff lock mode. The ride od the machine was much more comfortable than its competitors and the dealer actually had a test track to allow a complete test of all the machine's functions. After one year I could not be happier with this machine. I have no problem keeping up with my neighbors 500 and 550 machines and I actually have a slightly better hole shot. With this machines growing popularity the aftermarket folks are getting onboard with all kinds of goodies. If your in the market for a mid size UTV, check out the Kymco lineup, if you look closely at their build quality, you will not find a better made machine in its class.
