still going strong
By Richard Mater (I am an Owner) on Mar 31, 201917000 miles on machine. had to do some clutch work at 10000 on it, u-joints in front shaft just recently, seal in front axle and wheel bearings, new shocks and spring on front end. other wise going strong. Got my money back on this one.

10,000 mile review
By Alan Jacobs (I am an Owner) on Dec 10, 2018Two steering boots replaced, rear sway bar recently snapped going over "Tank Pass" where Patton tortured the tanks in testing maneuvers. Nuff said, this Ranger has been worked like a pickup truck all week every and ran on trails like a Razor on weekends. No transmission problems, no engine problems, ... and NO broken axles. Proper maintenance, sensible driving. If you break the Ranger then you bought the wrong rig for your driving style. The only mods I did were raising up the air intakes for cleaner air and replaced the rear shock setup with the better ones from wife's General when she went to Shock Therapy.

THE BEST OUT THERE
By Someone in the world (I am an Owner) on Nov 22, 2016I've owned this vehicle for over 3 years and counting, it has after market wheels and tires and also a 4 inch lift kit.I have never had any problems and i've used it almost every weekend for about 5 hours at a time.It was always used properly. people claim that they break and its because they don't ... use them properly! If i had the money, i would buy another one, just for the hell of it!

Durability
By Richard Mater (I am an Owner) on Nov 16, 2015Have 9800 miles on it, had to replace dogs in clutch, belt still good shape, some problems with the power windows, seal in front axle. Had extended warranty on it, so pretty much no cost to fix. Machine has been real dependable all the years I owned it. Drive all seasons. Little hairy on icy ... roads, have to be careful and slow down is all. Would buy another 900 in a heartbeat.

Money pit!
By Byron (I am an Owner) on Sep 02, 2015Bought mine new from dealer. 65kms into owning it a rock got caught between the brake & stock rim. It wore a hole through the rim. For the cost of the rim I could put a set of after market rims on the unit (which I did). I have broken multiple axles on this unit during normal operation. The belt ... gets wet extremely easy. I bought the Polaris wind shield, it cracked around the supports & never did close properly which the dealership shrugs off! I try not to use this unit as every time I take it out it costs me money & it's embarrassing to always break down. Between myself & my riding peers this SXS is the biggest lemon we know of! I will never buy another Polaris again after all the problems I've experienced!

Not So Good
By R. C. Anderson (I am an Owner) on May 09, 2014Purchased XP 900 in June. Used about 5 months before winter set in. Took out a couple of weeks ago end of April. Driving in normal conditions in 2 wheel drive. After stopping for a few minutes I backed up. Made a complete stop and shifted into forward drive. Traveled about fifty feet and unit ... pulled hard left. I stopped and accelerated again and right wheel spun dirt. Put in single wheel drive and could not move. As I expected the left axle was broke. I drove home with Four Wheel Drivedrive at slow speed. Now I am told a front axle also broke. Something had to be faulty with this equipment for it to happen at about 750 miles driven. I have never had it stuck or driven hard. I drive it and use it like a car. Spent over 20K on this and Polaris says tough luck. Don't recommend anyone buy this product.
