2011 Ranger

I bought my ranger last November. It was between the ranger and John Deere gator. I picked the ranger because it had more room and I made a mistake. It has been in the shop twice in six months. First it would not run smoothly. When I called the place I bought it they new exactly what it was a sensor.... Why did they not fix this before it was sold if they knew about it. A couple of months later it started missing again and this time they said it was a bad wire. It is 7 months old now and the seat is broken. It has plastic prongs that hold it in place and they broke. 2011 Polaris Ranger XP Limited Editon

This unit is very sporty looking and has a comforable ride. The problem is the mechnical parts engine, axles,starter and is very loud. FOUR units were purchased here in Louisiana by me and my neighbors, All Polaris UTV's. ALL FOUR have been in the shop. One for axle issues,one for starter problems,o...ne for water pump leaking and finally the last one for engine would not idle. I personnally called Polaris to extend my six month warranty for the time it was in the shop.Their answer SORRY. Then went over her head to the manager which he had to call me, She would not transfer me or give me the number to the manager. I will never ever buy a Polaris product again Read Full Review

2011 Ranger 800 XP engine problems

Excessive oil consumption and don't know where is is going. No other signs of a problem but uses 1/4 quart of oil every tank of gas. 300 hours and 2 months out of 6 month warranty. Polaris will not help, very disappointed. Read Full Review

Polaris has no reliability...

I sold my beloved Rhino 700 to buy a Polaris RZR (the worst mistake ever) After 1 month of owning it I started having many problems with the electronic components. I had to take it to the shop 4 times in the following 6 months for the same issues so the dealer offered me to replace it for a new o...ne, only this time I choose a Ranger XP. This was even worst, It had all the same issues (mostly all the connectors going to the air intake and tps are of the lowest quality you can find) but since it is bigger and heavier It was more difficult to take back to the shop which I did about 5 times during the next year. Now I am selling it and returning to Yamaha. Don´t get me wrong, this Polaris SXS are great and fun and aggressive and speedy but ONLY WHEN THEY WORK. Read Full Review
