2011 Polaris Sportsman® 400 H.O.

The 400 Polaris Sportsman is plenty fast ad has more than enough power for anything I have put it through.

I hunt and is does it's job with ease. Going through deep mud with a deer on the back rack is no problem.

Trail riding it is comfortable and has great gas millage. ... No need for a bigger engine in my opinion. It's a work horse.

Great ride and handling just wish it had a pull cord.

There are some seriously questionable design flaws in the 2011 400HO. First thing i noted was the oil bucket position. Very bad spot and very vulnerable to damage. I could not grasp this obvious poor design? Why even have a remote oil container? These motors have been proven very reliable the way ... they were internal oil pump and reserviour.The front drive shaft looks like a dead snake with horrible alignment. This quad has so many external lines for water and oil i could only imagine the maintenance on it being a complete nitemare.This only leads me to believe that technology is definately moving towards Dealer maintained ONLY as the new ATV line up is near unserviceable for the average owner.Built to break.Drive it till it dies and buy a new one.
