  • Needs update
By Rob McGinley (I am an Owner) on Feb 27, 2014

I bought this bike because I had a Eiger 400 and had no issues so I figure stick with what works..

    Plus Side

The dual clutch is awesome as there is no clunk no crack no noise at all when shifting from High range to low or reverse. The primary clutch and belt stop turning at idle ...

Rear brake is inside the rear diff and is maintenance free and protected from mud ect.

I like the way the clutch grabs just off idle and there is never any belt slip. The bike starts moving at very low RPM.

Its a nice package but there is some issues that Suzuki and other Japanese MFGs needs to address as they are falling VERY far behind Canadian and US MFGs.

    Cons

Front shocks are harsh on small bumps and bottom easy on big bumps. They dont match the great rear shocks at all.

Big single cyl engines sound bad and dont rev high enough like V-Twins. This 750 runs out of RPM very fast. And the motor makes alot of clicks tics and rattle sounds. Even though it has twin balance shafts its not as smooth as Can Am or Polaris. Its also way down on power compared to Can-Am and Polaris.

    Power Steering

This is a nothing more than a very expensive steering stabilizer. Yes it almost eliminates handle bar kick back on rough terrain but lacks anything that would be considered POWER STEERING... If your not moving there is no power steering. and going slow through tight trails there is little to no assist..

Going slow or doing a U-turn is when you would expect help with the steering and its just not very helpful at all. For the price you pay for it.. NOT GOOD..

But on the other hand fast road running has you working your ass off trying to keep a straight line. There is so much assist when going fast that every little bump has you all over the road...Steering is way to light when going fast.

The bike comes with real cheap looking stamped aluminium wheels and very cheap tires.

I would like to see Suzuki upgrade to a V-twin and install a BETTER Power Steering assist motor. Nice looking Aluminum Wheels with better tires.

Also the front shocks need desperate upgrade....

Dont get me wrong. I think the KQ750 is in the same ball park as the new Yamaha Grizzly. But both these bike cant hold a candle to a 500 Can Am when it comes to power, power sterring ect ect ect....

I can only hope the sleeping Japanese wake up soon!!!!!
