Kawasaki Teases New 2024 Mule for June 6 Launch
Last month, we published evidence that Kawasaki is planning to launch a new Mule with a 999cc four-stroke gas-powered engine. It now appears that the official announcement is coming soon, as Kawasaki is teasing an "all-new STRONG workhorse" which will be revealed on June 6.
The teaser video doesn't provide too many details about the machine, save for a few brief glimpses, mostly in shadow or extremely out of focus. What the video does do is leave little doubt that the teaser is for the new Mule. Most of the teaser's scenes take place on a farm, with a brief look at hunters in camo gear thrown in. More telling are the tag lines "More strength is on the way" and "Kawasaki Strong".
We already know from filings with the California Air Resources Board that Kawasaki has certified a new vehicle with seven variants (three two-seaters and four with a second row of seating) powered by a 999cc engine rated at 52 kW, or about 70 hp. The current 812cc Mule Pro-FX, Pro-FXR and Pro-FXT models are similarly rated by CARB at 35 kW, or 47 hp. I think a 49% increase in power would qualify as "more strength," wouldn't you?
We'll find out for certain on June 6.
