The Future of ATV and UTV Sales Is Extremely Promising
Things are looking good for the future of ATV and UTV sales, or at least that's what the data and speculation shows. Research from The Brainy Insights indicates that the annual global market value of the ATV and UTV market will effectively double between now and 2033, which is a wild, and promising prospect to consider.
Research organization The Brainy Insights reports that the four-wheeler side of the powersports industry is about to boom. 2023's $15 billion market is set to reach $29.5 billion in 2033, an enormous and incredible figure in both value and how much of an increase it represents over a decade.
Unsurprisingly, North America is poised to continue to be the leader in sales. It's no secret that Covid led to a massive increase in sales, and though that wave has slowed some, the organization expects it'll still continue to increase over the coming years.
The Brainy Insights also goes on to note that in 2023, the ATV segment made up 58% of the ATV/UTV market (representing $8.7 billion), and of that the utility segment was responsible for 54% of the market (or $8.1 billion). This tells us that people are still buying quads for work use, or at least are leaning towards the utility segment for its added versatility. Then again, it's not a totally fair representation as utility-minded 4x4s dominate the available offerings in how many models are available. Few true sports quads even remain on sale today.
Other notes from the study include that the growing global population is also a factor in these projections, while high machine prices might become roadblocks to buying should the economy pose a threat. This is one of those "time will tell" situations, but we're at least happy to read that the future of ATVs and UTVs is looking good.
