Kawasaki Unveils Mule Pro-FX Ranch Edition for 2017
In just its third model year, the Kawasaki Mule Pro family now includes 16 different models across three-seat (Mule Pro-FX), six-seat (Mule Pro-FXT) and diesel (Mule Pro DX and DXT) platforms. The newest addition is the 2017 Mule Pro-FX Ranch Edition, which retails for $14,999.
If the name sounds familiar, that’s because Kawasaki made a Ranch Edition version of the Mule Pro-FXT for 2016. Outside of the new Mule Pro-FX Ranch edition having three seats instead of six, these two models share much in common.
What does the Ranch Edition package get you? It offers everything you’d find on a regular Mule Pro-FX, along with a painted Metallic Titanium hood, two-tone seat cover embossed with a Ranch Edition logo, aluminum wheels, auxiliary high-intensity LED headlights, composite suntop, Ranch Edition badging, 4,000-pound Warn winch, dash-mounted rocker switch and corded remote control.
“With the extra equipment and premium appearance, the 2017 Kawasaki Mule Pro-FX Ranch Edition stands out from pack in the utility side x side market while maintaining the vehicle’s very high standards of performance, comfort and durability,” Kawasaki says in a release.
Power for the Mule Pro-FX Ranch Edition comes from an 812cc, three-cylinder, fuel injected engine that produces an impressive 48 lb-ft of torque.
This Utility UTV also boasts a massive cargo bed that measures 54.1 x 53.3 x 11 inches, which is large enough to easily hold a full size wooden pallet with room to spare. The cargo bed can hold up to 1,000 pounds and with integrated KQR steel cargo rails, tying loads down or adding accessories is simple.
When you’ve got a full load in the bed or are taking advantage of the Mule Pro’s 2,000-pound towing capacity, you’ll appreciate the standard electronic power steering.
Seating for driver and two passengers comes from a bench seat with three-point seatbelts for all occupants.
The Mule Pro-FX Ranch Edition is built around a solid welded frame and Kawasaki backs up the machine with an industry-leading three-year warranty.
As mentioned, Kawasaki’s Mule Pro family is growing rapidly. Here’s what the 2017 lineup looks like:
