I had seen a nice bike listed by this company on ebay. As they are not too far away I decided to call them to get more information and decided to go forward and buy the bike. I put $500 down to reserve the bike and received a bill of sale.

When I went down to the store two days later, ... I found out that someone else had used the 'buy-it-now' feature on ebay the day before and that therefore they had to sell it to them, because they "have a contract with ebay". This is total BS; firstly, *I* have no contract with ebay, they sold the bike to me first (I had already paid the first $500 and received a bill of sale), and legally they are obligated to sell the bike to me. There was no way for me to change their minds, however: their (unwritten) policy stated that they have to sell to ebay first (again, the law says they have to sell to the first buyer). After a while they made me a good offer on a newer (and more expensive) bike. The offer seemed good, so eventually I went ahead (my own mistake).

They would deliver the bike to my place, but on the day of delivery they had some mechanical problem with their elevator and couldn't get the bike out of their storage below the store. It took four days before they were able to get me my (now fully paid bike).

When I went to register the bike, the person at the RMV found a problem with the paperwork and couldn't register the bike at all. After putting in a good amount of effort and an extra ride to RMV I got it registered. Although they said the bike was inspected and everything was in great order, I found the bike had trouble starting when cold. This left me in the cold pump starting the almost 900 lb bike. Running and pushing a 900lb 'Gorilla' to get it started is no fun, especially not the cold winter. (had to do that a few times).

The problem was simple, it had an old and worn battery that needed to be replaced. I ended spending over $200 to get the battery replaced on a bike I had bought a week earlier and was supposedly checked. I would never do business with this company again.
