2013 Yamaha Raptor 700 Project: Giveaway
After building it up with thousands of dollars in parts and accessories from GYTR and others and taking it out for a final test ride, it was finally time to pick a winner of ATV.com’s Yamaha Raptor 700 Project ATV. We reached our hand into a very large figurative hat and the lucky winner was chosen – Dewayne Hughes of Ware Shoals, South Carolina.
We called up a very surprised Dewayne and told him he won the contest. Though we weren’t entirely sure he believed us, we finally convinced him when we pulled up in our truck loaded with his awesome new ride.
Dewayne said he entered the contest through a forum he frequents called HondaForeman.com. As the news sank in that he had won, he just couldn’t believe his luck. Neither could many of his fellow forum users. “I have never won anything” he said. “It was a great surprise that I didn’t even believe until I actually saw you with the Raptor waiting on me!”
Most of the other forum visitors wanted proof and with a little help from the forum administrator, Dewayne was able to set them straight.
Dewayne brought along a good friend and his daughter to pick up the awesome prize and he was so excited he wore his new Fly Racing Kinetic Inversion gear all the way to our photo location not too far from his home. It was very cold and windy, but in true winner style Dewayne proudly stood next to his new prize while we took a few snapshots of his bounty. It’s a good feeling to make an ATV enthusiast happy – especially just a few days before Christmas!
