More money will be available to Kawasaki riders in 2008 than ever before.

Kawasaki Motors Corp. USA of Irvine, Calif. has added two more series to its ATV contingency program and has increased the available winnings to US$800,000, up from $548,000 in contingency in 2007.

“We’re just trying to provide more coverage for Kawasaki ATV racers,” says Kawasaki spokesperson Greg Lasiewski. “As the sport is growing, we’re getting more involved and broadening our support as well.”

The ITP Quadcross and New England MX Series will join the GNCC, WPSA, WORCS, ATVA National MX Series, ATVA Regionals and White Brothers 4-Stroke National on Kawasaki’s contingency program in 2008. Riders will have a total of 75 opportunities to take home a portion of the money.

The contingency program is not just for Kawasaki sponsored riders—it is open to anyone who rides a Kawasaki ATV.

“Even if you’re not sponsored by Kawasaki and you just buy an ATV at the dealership and race one of those races and place, you are in contingency,” says Lasiewski. “It’s open to the general public. It’s what so good about it.”

The program runs from Jan. 1, 2008 through Dec. 31, 2008. According to Kawasaki, the company offers more contingency for ATVs than any other distributor with more events, classes and bigger cash payouts.
