With its extremely remote location and vacation-ready atmosphere, Hawaii is a paradise that you don't need to bring your own side-by-side to. You can't really get a vehicle to this island state, anyways! For family adventures in this oasis, consider taking a guided off-road tour at one of the few adventure ranches.
Taking an adventure tour on the island is probably one of the most exhilarating things you can do while visiting this oasis in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. People often ask, "Where can we go on an off-road adventure in Hawaii?" The following three places are your answers to that question, and we hope you find plenty of enjoyment jumping behind the wheel and enjoying adventures side-by-side with your family in Hawaii.

Upper Waiakea
This is one of those truly cool riding destinations. These trails wind through lush forests on the side of the largest active volcano on the planet. During the really wet season, the trails can get a bit muddy, which adds to the skill level needed, but the views you will experience are amazing. The trails are limited to 60-inch width machines and all USFS rules and regulations apply. You are required to wear a helmet, and there are campgrounds near the trails, so you can make an adventure out of the trip. A permit is required before entry.
