  • Excellent ATV
By Parshath (I am an Owner) on Jul 04, 2019

It seems anything Arctic Cat is limited in reviews and enthusiasts. I had an Alterra 300 which was of great build quality but was a Kymco. Based solely on that I made the jump to the AC Alterra 700 XT.

That being said, the build quality/fit & finish of this unit is amazing, I have yet ...

The ride is the best I've been on, the 10" shock travel and 11" clearance make the trails super smooth. Especially compared to my King Quad.

The power steering seems to work great, I will say it's my first power steering ATV and as such I am accustomed to "feeling" the ride. PS seems to take the "feel" out of the ride. Which is great for my family but if I am looking to be aggressive I feel out of touch with the trail. I assume this would be the same for any ATV with power steering though. Don't get me wrong, I do like it and have no complaints on its performance.

The Racks are probably the best in the business, however, AC has priced the SpeedRack/Speedlock accessories into the crazy $$$ category, likely killing most sales for their accessories. I bought the etended racks, which are awesome, but the trunk was priced at $600 CAD, at that price it should be gold plated.

Engine, lots of power but more refined than my 750 KQ. It has all the power you need, it can put a smile on your face too. Yet it isn't over powered to make my wife feel uneasy. It's a good balance for those not looking to feel like they got too big of an engine.

Ergonomics are great, foot board space is HUGE and very sturdy. handlebars have all the standard controls yet are bare of clutter. A huge issue I have on my KQ. There are so many wires and poorly placed controls that finding hand guards that fit seems impossible. Yet on the AC there is tons of room for accessories.

While AC's can get pricey, I was able to get some huge discounts which makes for my review of value going from a 4 to a 5
