love my can am 800 mr
By Wanda Mosier (I am an Owner) on Jun 26, 2012i really like riding my can am 800 mr. but i have been having problems with my rear brakes . i have put on three sets and only five rides. this should not happen. i think the dealer is wanting my warranty to run out. then it will be fixed right. My wife loves this 4 wheeler alot.I put 32 inch. silver ... back tires on it. It will go through any thing. Has any one else had problems with there back brakes?

What next?
By Kelly (I am an Owner) on Jun 11, 2012My last quad was the 2006 outlander 400 max xt and I took it through everything possible from deep mud holes to cross country back roads flat out for hours and was very hard on it,I estimated I could have rode clear across Canada from coast to coast with the klms I had on it when i sold it and did ... nothing to it but replaced a worn belt.I recently purchased the 2012 Can Am XMR and it was everything I could have asked for,it's just like my last quad but on steroids.I now have about 500 klms on it and have mud holed it through everything that I took my 400 through and with ease,Im now left wondering what next? Because the mud holes aren't deep enough to plant this machine. The features, performance and handling are spectacular given the size of the meats that it's spinning.I've found as long as you learn how to ride this machine properly it should last for decades. Also the air compressor mounted on the beast saved me from disaster out in the middle of no where with no cell phone reception and a flat trailer tire,Thanks Can Am you rock!

Do Not Buy.
By Kris (I am an Owner) on Jun 01, 2012I have had nothing but trouble from this four wheeler since day 1. At first we loved it but then we got in a situation where my friends 400 Honda went through with a bit of difficulty. When I went through the 4 wheeler had the same issue the Honda had and got stuck a little. As I was trying to get ... out black smoke starting coming from the bike. I stopped and we dragged it out. Everything looked fine. Every time I got stuck a little this black smoke would come out. The belt had "Houred glassed" from what the dealer said and would not warranty it. We also had an issue of the half shaft being broken that took 3 weeks to get a part in. They forgot that I also had mentioned that after about an hour of ridding my front breaks made a really horrible sound. We thought it was because of the broken half shaft but it appears the front breaks are gone. This was found out after 34 hours of operation, symptoms appeared after an hour of trail ridding. Can-am refuses to warranty. Other people on the trails who have this machine have also told me that I should be ready to have this machine in the shop a-lot. This purchase was the worse decision ever. I should have bought a Honda or a Kawasaki.

Makes a pretty good snowmachine as well
By John (I am an Owner) on Mar 25, 2012Not only does this machince perform great in mud, sand and everywhere else you can take it. But since it is winter time I have added a set of complast tracks on it. Ha, don't need a snow machine, I go anywhere I want and have more fun. I tried to upload a bunch of pics but an "unknown error" came ... up on all of them, will try again later. The only bad part, when you do get stuck, your friggin stuck.

Buddy bought one, I rode it, I bought one
By 1010644327 () on Nov 27, 2011Just ride one, what ever you own you will sell it and buy one of these. Well unless you like flat land raptor types. Like anything with a bump or a little mud or sand, youll buy it. You think it cost a lot, break it down it is not that bad, you buy one of your normal and I mean normal compared to ... Xmr and then add all the options the Xmr has and the price will be the same if not more. But if you don't have the money, don't ride it as you will find yourself dreaming about different things at night.........

Finally someone llistened - outstanding
By Rick (I am an Owner) on Sep 23, 2011I had a Grizzly, lost it to the ocean at low tide was a little upset till I went and bought the 800 Xmr. That tide did me a favor, this thing will eat Grizzly's for lunch. I can climb hills in 2x4 with this that the others scramble to make in 4x4. Add a little mud and the competition gets further ... behind. Add a lot of mud and you are all alone. Again very versital with the air ride selection. Put it on 2 for the trails and mogals, find a little mud got to 4 on the fly, find a lot of mud put her in 6, step on the back foot grips and push your thumb forward....then put on a big ole smile, csuse you are in for an awesome ride.
