surprised
By tim (I am an Owner) on Jul 31, 2019So after some research, reading mixed reviews, and watching videos, i said screw it and bought two, one for me and one for the wife. These machines are amazing. We grew up with a Honda Fourman so tough competition.
That said, I have yet to get either one stuck. Some things to understand. ... It uses a CVTech system, so this is name brand components, as well as Bosche Fuel injection and engine management system.
I have used the diff lock and wow!! Now to one of the comments, and some clarifications from videos.
1. On the 18-19's they fixed the brake before shifting. Honestly if you look down where the shifter keylock is you can back that out if you have a 17 and older.
Also we have had issues where turning around on a trail with the front on a hill, the shifter binds up, not a big deal you just rock it a little and it shifts. My buddies polaris does the same thing.
For the heat comments, can-ams and polaris does this too. But the cfmoto has very large foot boards. Even at 100 plus degrees and wearing shorts, just put your foot towards the outside of the footboard and the heat won't bother you.
As a side note, i found that the tractor supply 2500# atv winch, bolts right on, and comes with eveything you need for around $120 usd.
We have ridden our on everything from forest service roads to rock crawling. They are great machines.
Gas gauge is a little off when you go down hill, but so are the other machines on the market.
I will say I was very skeptical of CFMoto, and other people balked when i bought them. But you let someone ride one and they too change their mind.
FYI, mine is NON ESP, but if you remove the front rack and access the fuse box, there is a pig tail already installed for an electronic power steering kit. You can get the 400 with ESP, but the dealers here don't buy them with it, i think most people would just buy a 500. If you are looking for a budget friendly machine but has Diff Lock, power ports, usb ports, trailer light connectors, 2wd-4wd selectable, and is a solid machine this is it.
A few Pointers> We live in high desert so it is very hot, when the machine has been working for a while, they tend to crank or not like to start, you just give it a little gas as it is cranking and it starts right up, that is the bosche fuel injection.
These thinks like to run high RPM, I generally run Low upto around 15mph and high gear after that. As a word of caution, they will do easily 40-45mph. We were at around 7000ft and was cruising at 45mph no issues. I didn't try going any faster.

Amazing quad
By Sean Burt (I am an Owner) on Jun 01, 2019Have owned it for a month have put 200 KS on it great on the trails and been fantastic on the farm. Very handy. Only complaint is wide turn radius doesn't turn as sharp as our Suzuki but all and all a great machine so far I have confidence in this machine.

By Cory (I am an Owner) on Feb 13, 2019Awesome bike for the price! Got mine not long ago and was hesitant as everyone else was to get a brand that I don't know much about, but dang I am glad I did. Plenty of power, locking diff, comfortable riding position and the price is amazing. Don't hesitate go for it u will not be disappointed ... with the 2018!!!

Ok
By Donald (I am an Owner) on Jan 24, 20192017 cforce 400. Pros, power great, ride great, price great, looks good.
Cons, turn radius wide, covers on sides of engine suck, can't get them to stay on. Too much heat on my right leg.

So far so great
By David White (I am an Owner) on Oct 21, 2018Read reviews before buying. NOT good. Lots of bad reviews. Then I looked at reviews of competitors...same thing. So, I took a chance and bought this ATV. So far, I am VERY glad I did!
Pros:
Excellent price/value
Great looking bike
4x4 with locking differentials!
Smooth ... ride...very comfortable
I like the engine brake. Some don't, but I do. To each his own
CVT transmission. LOVE it!
Shifter lock. Great idea! Left it on the trailer at the hotel with confidence.
Nice LCD console...buttons are hard to push with gloves on though.
Cons:
Fuel meter is quite inaccurate. Still had a good 2 gallons left and it said I was totally empty.
Tough to shift from P, R, N, H, L. Not horrible, but a little annoying.
No parking brake. This is actually a big deal as you are not supposed to trailer it in park. So, how do I keep it from rolling off the trailer before I strap it down? Not good. Think ahead engineers.
I've rode 350 miles on it already (in one week). Honestly, I'm already looking at buying my wife one. She loves it too!
I am pleasantly surprised. I was nervous buying a Chinese made ATV. My friend has a Can-Am 570. He likes mine way better! He said his was in the shop multiple times before he got 350 miles on it, and it continues to break down a lot.
