2014 John Deere Gator™ XUV 4x4 550

I bought my gator brand new 2014, I'm paralyzed so I use mine everyday to get around my yard, neighborhood, etc.. I put this thing through some very extreme trails, mud, swamp!! I have Interco Vampire II tires, I follow behind the big boys! I keep it well maintained, I've had it for 4 yrs never ... had any problems!!

Bought a new 550 u t v from trigreen in cookeville,tn

First year in shop eight times. Could not shift, was stuck in field.

They are not reputable and returned vehicle in SAME condition;

finally deere issued a recall on the clutch, they replaced it...

we think.

Shifting ... difficulty returned, went to another deer dealer who said clutch was bad..replaced at our expense. The vehicle has UNDER 50 hours on it and is garaged....looks new.

Now it stalls. Will run 5 seconds or more and sputters out. Dealer in mcminville,tn is closed, will not go back to trigreen in cookeville so more expense looms. Deere corporate has not helped. Lost me and all around me as customer. Just bought a Kubota riding lawn tractor..yep, was ready to get the deere...but no way!

Any help on getting deere to refund dome money would be welcome info. Any help on what the stalling is also welcome.

Purchased a new 2014 Gator 550. Always hard to shift between gears. (forward/reverse) Usually have to turn engine off to get to switch. Pain in the ass. Recently shifting handle broke from forcing it. Seems JD would make a better product, being their name is on it. I know I'll be replacing zero ... turn mower very soon, and will not even consider a JD. $9,200 piece of crap

Bought my 550 in August 2014 here in germany. No probs the last 220 hours and I've enjoyed every hour! Btw: the B&S engine is very reliable!

I just bought my xuv 550 John Deere about two weeks a go and already have 20 plus hours on it . So for this a great machine for trail riding. It has plenty of low range 4x4 power but I would like to have a little more top end power . The V-twin Briggs 16 HP engine is a super little engine and is ... not hard to service yourself . I would tell anyone looking for a entry level utv to buy the John Deere Xuv , you can't beat it for the price .
