3 weeks old and in the shop!
By Sherri (I am an Owner) on Jun 07, 2012Had our polaris 500 touring for only 3 weeks and while we were on a trail ride with friend it decided it didn't want to start. Had to get towed back. Took it to the shop and the timing had jumped which caused a problem with the crank. Not impressed. They are waiting on parts now.

One well made machine.
By Bil Rylander (I am an Owner) on Mar 12, 2012This is my first machine, and I do mean machine. My purchase was based on my brother having his since new in 2000, and he road it hard the first 10 years and it still runs strong. I bought this as my Christmas gift this year and decided a touring was what I would get the most use with. Only been ... out twice with it once at the farm and once to Cadillac,MI to go ice fishing and it hauled myself and my brother with the Clam Two-man ice shanty in tow in 12in of snow all over the lake for two days and 30 miles, that's about 600 pounds of fat boys and gear (we take to much gear and never enough beer). In all I think this was a very good choice for my needs, it has all the power I need and capabilities that I'll use on the trail, I'm not into muddy runs and don't like the cleaning up after. The only draw back is it's hard to find accessories like you can with the 550 & 850 touring, but then it may show up and I can get the cool stuff that's the only trade off of buying the Value machine.
Ride safe an remember to keep it the way you found it.
