I brought the bike to edge Preformance in Bradford and they said it was the oil pick up that got clogged with silicon and that when they put the engine together at Polaris they put to much silicon and ... they won't do anything about it . Polaris dropped the ball
By Paul Hopwood (I am an Owner) on Dec 25, 2015The sportsman 800EFI is made for plowing probably more than anything else, The weight distribution is all wrong for towing, pulling or hill climbing. It will easily pull a wheelie even in 4 wheel and can be down right dangerous when going up steep grades.

Polaris 800 review
By Nate (I am an Owner) on Nov 16, 2013I have logged 500 miles on my Polaris 800. Love it. To date no hiccups. For the price there is nothing better, for more... then it gets difficult. If you want a work horse that you can fun with, it is the way to go. The only thing I could possible complain about is wanting to go faster... but that ... isn't for this ATV. It will haul, pull, ride, climb, wheelie, and do anything you want it too within it's limits. And it does in a way that makes others go "I like it".

Best in class
By Anthony Tepool (I am an Owner) on Apr 15, 2013This is what the others try to copy. Great power and smooth ride. I have ridden since I was a boy (I am 49) and this is the most versatile machine I have ever owned. I have 27/9/14 on the front and 27/11/14 Maxxis vipr rear tires and it is a beast.

Great ATV!
By Mr. Sharron (I am an Owner) on Jun 04, 2012This machine has been excellent thus far with over 40 hours clocked in. It has alot of power and can tow more than almost every other ATV on the market. Great price and the machine looks great after installing front bumber, rear bumber and winch. I also have a 2012 Yamaha Grizzly 550 efi with eps ... and it was more expensive than my 800 by $1,100; I would pick my 800 over the grizzly any day! I really like the power, the comfort and the price tag for such great sport performance.I would like to see polaris industries and yamaha using nothing but components made by American companies! Get American polyester for the seating, get American instrumentation for the speedometer, etc. When I purchase my next ATV, which will be one of the best available for purchase, I want to know that my $10,000 dollars is contributing to my country at a foundational level (as well as increase the country's fiscal year GDP of course:). I'll be checking into these concerns in the future because these companies keep claiming their pro-American status. As far as production goes, I would agree with pro-American associations but Americans want to see that materials are their expensive toys came from American corporations, at least for all of the outsourced costs in production. I also want to see these companies steering towards more enviornmentally friendly materials and components as they become available, whilst assuring that the integrity and durability of the machines is in no way sacrificed. Give me a fair priced, somewhat envirornmentally friendly, "green" stamped quad so I can shut up some of the discontented hippies around everywhere I go!;)
