Polaris RZR Official UTV of Best in the Desert
After striking a sponsorship agreement with the Best In The Desert (BITD)Racing Series, the Polaris RZR has been named the official UTV of the off-road racing series. As well, Polaris will be sponsoring four BITD races, including the season-opening THR Motorsports Parker 250 which takes place Feb. 6-8.
“Best in the Desert has been at the forefront of promoting desert side-by-side racing, and Polaris RZR is excited to support the series and its racers,” says Craig Scanlon, general manager of Polaris Side-by-Side Vehicles. “Our partnership with Best in the Desert will help us share the off-road racing experience with more people so we can continue to build interest in the sport.”

Polaris factory facers were out in force at the Bluewater Desert Challenge this past weekend. The race, different than the other Best in the Desert Races, was two days of three 25-mile laps, with results based on times from both days.
Thirty-two Side-by-Sides took the line with the Pro Class having the majority of entrants. Jagged X’s Brandon Schueler in the No. 1919 RZR XP 1000 started in front and never looked back, taking first place the first day. The top five were all RZRs with Lone Star Racing’s Branden Sims finishing second, Coastal/Holz Racing’s Scott Kiger in third, Cognito’s Justin Lambert in fourth and Jagged X’s Craig Scanlon in fifth.
