Can-Am Racers Earns Wins in GNCC, TORN, and LACC Series

Can-Am ATV and side-by-side vehicle racers earned numerous wins and podiums this past weekend during national and regional races across North America. Kyle Chaney won the XC1 Pro UTV class with Maverick 1000R side-by-side vehicle at the John Penton Grand National Cross Country race in Ohio. Can-Am Maverick racers also scored wins in the Texas Off-Road Nationals, Louisiana Cross Country Series and a solid second-place finish at the SCORE International Baja 500.

“Our Can-Am Maverick 1000R and X ds Turbo racers took advantage of the unit’s unbeatable performance to earn wins in different series, including the Ohio GNCC, where we earned another XC1 Pro UTV class podium sweep. And the Murray Racing team earned a very solid second-place at the Baja 500,” says Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am.

Chaney Races Maverick To Win at Mountaineer Run GNCC

Kyle Chaney piloted his Can-Am Maverick 1000R to victory in the XC1 Pro UTV class at the Mountaineer Run GNCC this past weekend in West Virginia.

Can-Am Maverick 1000R racers swept the XC1 Pro class and also won the XC2 Pro Sport and Amateur Limited classes at the Masontown, WV race. Can-Am ATV racers also earned two wins and eight podiums.

Can-Am Mavericks Sweep 12 Hours of La Tuque Podium

Can-Am Maverick drivers finished 1-2-3 to sweep both the SxS Open class and the overall SxS podium at the 2015 12 Hours endurance of la Tuque held this past weekend in the La Tuque, Quebec, Canada.

“Our racers had another great racing weekend behind the wheel of the Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicle, winning numerous races. We swept the Open class and overall podium and had four Maverick teams in the top five overall at the 12 Hours of la Tuque,” says Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am.

2015 Can-Am Racing Team Announced

BRP has announced its team of ATV and Side-by-Side vehicle racers for the 2015 season.

“We had the most successful Can-Am off-road racing season ever in 2014, which was highlighted by championships in SCORE International (Class 19), the GNCC SxS XC1 and SxS XC2 class titles and all four 4×4 classes. We captured numerous championships in several different racing disciplines, from motocross to hare scrambles to endurance events and want to continue this level excellence with our 2015 team,” says Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “The Can-Am team is full of dedicated and highly skilled off-road racers who strive to be the best in their respective series and sport.”

2014 Historic for Can-Am ATV and UTV Racers

BRP’s Can-Am ATV and Side-by-Side racers earned a record number of wins and championships across North America in 2014. Racers secured more than 16 total championships, including the first GNCC XC1 Modified (side-by-side) class and SCORE International Class 19 Pro Side-by-Side championship.

Team member Kyle Chaney earned BRP its first GNCC XC1 Modified (Side-by-Side) class title behind the wheel of his Can-Am Maverick 1000R. Chaney recorded three consecutive event overall wins and had four total podiums in six rounds of racing.

Burnett Wins SCORE UTV Championship in Can-Am Maverick

Can-Am Maverick Side-by-Side racers competed at the 2014 Tecate SCORE International Baja 1000 race on the Baja Peninsula, tallying one Class 19 podium and the overall season championship. Racing solo, Marc Burnett (Burnett Motorsports / Can-Am / Monster) finished the endurance race in sixth to secure BRP / Can-Am its first ever SCORE Baja 1000 season class Side-by-Side title. Desert Toyz / Can-Am’s Cory Sappington also had a solid race, earning a third-place podium finish at this year’s gruelling 1,275-mile contest held in Mexico.

Can-Am Teams Win at Heartland Challenge

Can-Am ATV and side-by-side racers competed at the 2014 Heartland Challenge endurance race, winning three classes. As well, Can-Am riders earned podium finishes in the Best in the Desert Series Vegas To Reno race and round eight of the New England ATV Motocross series.

“Our team of Can-Am ATV and side-by-side racers had a busy-but-successful weekend across the US. The Murrays earned a hard-fought third-place finish in a very difficult Vegas-to-Reno race while our other sibling teams, in the Pratts and Millers, notched big wins in Iowa,” says Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “From endurance racing in Iowa and the Nevada desert to motocross in Maine, our racers again proved Can-Am is an excellent choice for serious competitors.”

Can-Am Maverick Racers Win Baja 500 and John Penton GNCC

Can-Am Maverick 1000R Side-by-Side pilot Marc Burnett won Class 19 at the 2014 Tecate SCORE International Baja 500 race held this past weekend in Baja California, Mexico. In Ohio, fellow Maverick racer Kyle Chaney won the XC1 Modified side-by-side class at the Wiseco John Penton Grand National Cross Country race in Ohio.

Can-Am ATV racers also had a successful weekend, sweeping their respective podiums in the GNCC 4×4 Pro class and in the New England ATV Motocross Pro class.

BRP to Build Third Manufacturing Facility in Mexico

BRP will expand its production capability in Mexico with the addition of a new Can-Am off-road manufacturing facility in Juárez.

The 500,000-square-foot facility represents an investment of an estimated $50.3 million and BRP syas it could result in the creation of approximately 900 permanent jobs upon completion.

Can-Am Racers Sweep 4×4 Class at Big Buck GNCC

Can-Am ATV and side-by-side racers posted wins and podium finishes in the 2014 AMSOIL AMA Grand National Cross Country series in South Carolina, the World Off-Road Championship Series in Utah, the Texas Off-Road Nationals in Crafton, Texas, and In the New England ATV Motocross Opener in Wallkill, N.Y. The wins included podium sweeps in the NEATV-MX Pro and Pro-Am classes and another 1-2-3 finish in the GNCC 4×4 Pro class.
