New 400 and 500 class machines introduced
CFMOTO USA has taken the covers off its 2016 line of off-road vehicles. Chief among the new additions is an all-new 500HO engine, which is featured in new ATV and Side-by-Side models. Also new is a CFORCE 400 ATV featuring a new chassis, new engine and fully-independent front and rear suspension.
“This is far and away one of our most exciting model year introductions to the USA market,” said Dave Auringer, vice president of Sales for CFMOTO USA. “Our new 500HO engine offers better performance than the 600 engine it replaces and does so with greater reliability and of course even greater value; and our two new 50-inch wide ZFORCE models expand riding opportunities for our customers.”
CFMOTO boasts the new 500 High Output mill is the most advanced engine to bear the CFMOTO name. The single-cylinder, four-valve overhead cam, liquid-cooled engine features BOSCH electronic fuel injection and delivers a claimed 15% more power and 10% more torque than the 600 engine it replaces.
CFMOTO’s CFORCE line of ATVs expands for 2016 with the addition of the CFORCE 500 HO EPS, featuring the new 500HO engine, and the CFORCE 400. This 400-class machine produces a claimed 31 horsepower and features independent front and rear suspension, CVTech clutching, all-new liquid-cooled 400cc engine, 620-pound towing capacity, and standard racks with integrated rear trunk storage with an MSRP of $4,499.
The new 38-horsepower CFORCE 500 HO EPS features new drive and driven clutching from CVTech with integrated engine braking, electronic power steering, 873-pound towing capacity, 2,500-pound winch, and will retail for $5,999.
Returning for 2016 is the 62-horsepower CFORCE 800 HO EPS, which retails for $8,999.
The ZFORCE line of Sport Side-by-Sides features two new trail-friendly 50-inch wide models found in the ZFORCE 500 HO Trail and ZFORCE 800 Trail. These two new models, which will be available in dealerships by mid-January 2016, are built to travel on trails designated for 50-inch and narrower vehicles.
The UFORCE line returns for 2016 with the UFORCE 800 and revamped UFORCE 500 HO EPS, which comes with the new 500HO engine and carries an MSRP of $8,999.
CFMOTO says 2016 models feature durability improvements, including new Sumitomo electrical connectors and more durable front differentials.
“These and several other durability enhancements and improvements found throughout the line, makes these 2016 models the most durable and reliable vehicles we’ve ever manufactured,” says Jim Osterberg, vice president of service for CFMOTO USA.
