KTM rider records best ATV finish in event history

KTM factory rider Tim Farr put together a sensational performance in the Erzberg Iron Road Prologue at the Erzberg Rodeo, held May 22-25.

Farr placed second in the event, which was at least 60 places better than an ATV had ever achieved on the Iron Mountain in previous editions of the Erzberg Rodeo.

It was the 13-time ATV Pro Champion’s first appearance at the event, which takes place in the Austrian Alps.

“I really wanted to come here to compete and it’s quite a surprise for me that I was up with the front runners,” says Farr. “I definitely want to come back to Erzberg again.”

Farr was competing against experienced riders like multi Enduro world champion Juha Salminen, Dakar winner Cyril Desprees and two-time winner of Erzberg’s notorious Red Bull Hare Scramble Taddy Blazusiak.

When he’s not racing, Farr is the manager for KTM’s factory team on the Can-Am GNCC Series where KTM rider Adam McGill is currently leading the XC1 Pro standings.
