Faulty transmission for towing
By A.W. (I am an Owner) on Sep 25, 2013Ordered new vehicle from factory, was delivered a visibly damaged unit through authorized dealer with hours already on the meter. They said MTD would warranty any problems. Vehicle over-heated after 10 minutes of normal driving. Sensor had been disconnected. Frame bolts were also missing in several ... places. After that was fixed, found the unit would stall and become locked in low gear while towing less than 500 lbs., and when it locked in gear could not be restarted at all. Dead in the water, cannot be pushed or started like this. Service mechanic was forced to void warranty by towing it while locked in gear, to load on flatbed. Reported they had to bang the faulty transmission linkage loose just to get UTV started again. Hardly suitable for small work projects. MTD (manufacturer) refused to exchange UTV for the model I ordered, and has failed to honor warranty or the original order invoice, they have deceptive business practices. They have since reduced their warranty to a limited one year, versus previous two year, which shows their lack of support for their product. They just want someone to give them money, a disgrace to Cleveland Ohio.

Great
By Gary Hayden (I am an Owner) on Oct 22, 2012When I first test drove it it will take off on you. That was only one time. Knowing how to drive it now its a breez. My wife and I go just about any where we want. The power is great. I had to pull out a tree stump so I tried a few things First 2x it spun out .in normal 4x4 the wheels sliped.. I ... then locked the diff. WOW I felt it kinda squat grab hold and man it pulled out the stump.no slipping.
I'm happy and would suggest it to all that know how do drive..

Hold on tight
By Howard Strong (I am an Owner) on Sep 17, 2012I recently purchase a 2012 cub cadet 4x4 efi. My son picked out this vehicle and when it was deliverd I had major issues on its performance. The vehicle idles around 500rpm it will take another 500rpm to engage the transmission and throw you back in your seat. I feel that this is a safety issue ... but the dealer says this is normal. I now since peronnally road tested four other company UTVs and this problem is not an issue. I am looking to sell this vehicle. Sham on Cub Cadet.
