"Woods-Weapon"
By Vince (I am an Owner) on Jun 06, 2016Owning several sport ATV's over the years, and wrenching on even more, has given me a fairly sound knowledge of what is and what isn't. The overall appearance of the newest model LTZ 400 is very edgy. The sharp lines and smooth overall appearance make this model appear to moving fast even standing ... still. I personally picked the Black/Yellow version myself. The machine is mostly unchanged over it's entire course of production. Additions and changes to carb sizing, suspension, and of course the addition of EFi are the major ones, and really the only ones. From the moment you sit on the LTZ you feel very comfortable and at home. Upon start up the machine seems smooth and quiet in factory trim, though the exhaust not and rev give the sensation of a motor that just wants to go. Upon riding the ATV seems far too much at home in the woods, and off-road. Suzuki really had a clear vision in mind when designing the LTZ400. The width seems to get you through even the tight trails. Corning and stability are very tight. Power delivery is extremely smooth in the EFi trim. Suspension wise, from the factory, the "Z" is a very comfortable ride, absorbing bumps, but not so much as to take away from the rider experience. With only minor adjustments the Z can be taken from a great feel to an astounding feel. The Z's ability to slide and be manipulated by the rider in the turns and on the hills alike all while staying stable down the open straights and still being able to catch some air and land on it's feet with ease makes this sport ATV this writers choice of choices when it comes to the sport/woodsman riding style. It truly lives upto it's name the "woods-weapon"
