I recently brought my Yamaha V-Star 650 in for a diagnostic check. The bike was not starting and I suspected it was a diagnostic problem. After looking at the bike, the shop called and stated that they believed something had fallen into the shaft and that the engine had seized. I did not believe ... that was the problem, thanked them for looking at it, and explained that I would come back to get it.

I had explained before hand that the engine would attempt to start with the spark plugs taken out, but that was not taken into consideration it seems. When I went to have the bike towed back to my home, it was brought out with the engine half disassembled. The shop had attempted to access the cylinders and by necessity had removed the tank, seat, carburetor, and intake. All the parts other than the carburetor were in a cardboard box. The carburetor was on top of the engine.

No one should expect to bring a vehicle into a shop assembled and then get it back ripped apart. Just because I choose not to have a repair done does not give you the right to just leave something worse off than when you received it.

The Rockwall Honda/Yamaha Sales Manager is Brian Ralph. Beware of his bait and switch tactics.

Recently purchased my third ride from this dealership, a Yamaha Waverunner and trailer. Negotiated price over internet. $ X plus t,t&l.

When I ultimately reviewed the ... closing statement, Brian charged me an additional $89 "Handling Fee". He said it was for checking out the PWC before delivery. Very Questionable charge, some would say dishonest.

Charge was never mentioned in negotiations and is a bogus way to either enhance Brian's commission or the Dealer's bottom line.

Plenty of other Yamaha dealers in DFW, go see them instead. I will for any future Yamaha or Honda purchases.

BTW, the PWC looks and runs great. The Finance dept, and Delivery Assistant were awesome.

Sadly, my third and last purchase at this Dealership, unless the integrity and professionalism of Sales management changes.
