First ever ATV from electric UTV company feature a gas-powered engine


We’ve been familiar with Bad Boy for years as a builder of Utility-minded electric UTVs. For 2016 Bad Boy is shaking things up in a major way with its first ATV, this one featuring a gas-powered motor. Introducing the Bad Boy Onslaught 550 4×4.

The new Onslaught ATV features independent double A-arm front and rear suspension and an impressive 12 inches of ground clearance. Muscle comes from a 503cc single-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection that produces a claimed 39 horsepower.

2008 Bad Boy Buggy Review Bad Boy is offering its new ATV in two configurations – Onslaught 550 4×4 EFI and the Onslaught 550 4×4 EFI EPS with electronic power steering (EPS). Both models are available in black or olive green, with Realtree Xtra camouflage and premium wheels offered as factory-installed options on EPS-equipped vehicles.

“We introduced the Onslaught in response to market demand for an ATV in the Bad Boy line,” said John Collins, vice president, consumer for Textron Specialized Vehicles, which markets Bad Boy off-road vehicles. “Onslaught offers comfort, control, power and styling for riders who simply want to do more in the outdoors. Whether it’s recreation or work, you can just bring it on and get after it with Onslaught.”

Bad Boy boasts the Onslaught 550‘s dual 60-watt halogen headlights with low- and high-beam options and a center headlight provide the brightest lighting in its class.

Other features include hydraulic disc brakes, locking differential, 8.7 inches of front suspension travel, 9.4 inches of rear suspension travel, front and rear cargo racks (99 lbs/165 lbs capacity), 1,225-pound towing capacity, A-arm guard and skid plate underbody protection, and a one-year warranty.
