Six Rancher models available for 2017

Honda has announced that the venerable Rancher family is returning for 2017 with a six-model lineup.

The beauty of the Honda Rancher lineup is that there is something for just about any ATV rider looking for a middleweight machine.

“The current version is the best ever, enabling customers to choose between Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) or swingarm, Automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) or standard gearbox, Electric Power Steering (EPS) and standard, and 4×4 or two-wheel drive,” Honda says in a release.

Each Rancher model is powered by a 420cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine and is backed by a one-year transferable limited warranty. IRS models boast 9.2 inches of ground clearance along with 7.28 inches of front suspension travel and 8.46 inches in the rear. Swingarm models offer up 7.2 inches of ground clearance and 6.69 inches of front and rear suspension travel. Curb weight varies from 573 pounds to 686 pounds, depending on model.

While the models retain the same specs as they did in 2016, Honda did add two new colors for 2017; black for the 4×4 Automatic IRS EPS and Shale Blue for the 4×4 Automatic EPS.

Prices start at $5,299 and you’ll start seeing them in Honda ATV dealerships starting in June.
