  • Best ATV I have ever rode!!!
By Mark (I am an Owner) on Apr 07, 2015

I bought a 2009 Can Am Renegade 500 used with only 530 miles on it. My old wheeler was a Polaris Trail Boss. I bought this wheeler because I wanted a sporty 4x4 for pure riding and NOT for work. This is perfect. Very responsive throttle. 69 MPH on tar road. All stock. Really fun to drive. It ...

To start off, if you are looking for something with storage get the outlander. This is a super ATV, best of the best. I've put over $3000 in extras on this to get it even better, such as 4000# winch, full skid plates, reinforced front bumper, as the aluminum is quite pitiful, and heavy duty rear ...

Personally this ATV is the best fit for speed, mid for jumping, light enough in a sticky situation unlike outlander. Has lots of power, can't imagine the 800 or the 1000cc machines. Simple, to get the best you pay a price, no better ATV than this.

  • Can Am Renegade 500 EFI
By Joe Kokmeyer (I am an Owner) on Dec 19, 2010

I bought this machine in April 2010 new and used through out the summer and fall. The sport look is very impressive while handling and power are just as impessive. Very fast and deserving of respect. Climbing hills, rought terrian, sand and mud are not even a hinderous to this machine. Every ...

Down falls on this quad is fenders lack rider protection from mud - you will get dirty. Cargo room would be a nice addition as there is no way to carry trail supplies. Fuel millage is about 60 miles to a tank if you push it and stay out of the gas - yea right! Price tag (ouch) but no regreats.

Great machine and would like to have a winch installed to rid the worries of being standed and more daring. If you looking for a fun, smooth and comfortable ride and see one - buy it!

  • Renegade 500
By Rick Lane (I am an Owner) on Jul 26, 2009

I just purchased a red 500 in June. I bought the quad because of the sport look and performance. So far I love this quad, I used to ride a 98' Yamaha Wolverine 350. I also have a 07' Arctic Cat 650H1, it doesn't even compare to the Can Am. The 500 has incredible throttle response, braking is good, ...

The renegades only downfalls...if you take it through mud or water, you're gonna get dirty. It really splashes everything up on you. The tires are the other downfall through mud, they plug up fast. And of course, no baskets to carry stuff. I do have the BRP bag for the rear but you are limited in size.

My suggestion to people wanting one of these quads....get a winch installed.
