Nothing but problems
By 214851877 () on Sep 20, 2012I bought the 2009 Outlaw for my son. All we've had is problems with it. The last time he was driving it he went through a mud puddle and the machine quit on him. It hasn't ran since. The machine won't turn over at all. We are looking into possibly a new starter??

polaris 90 outlaw
By Denise (I am an Owner) on Aug 22, 2009this atv was a birthday present to replace a Suzuki lt80 2000 model. I loved it from the immediate moment I saw it and knew I had to have it. It was purchased April, 2009. The 1st time I rode it the front brakes went out. It was repaired and the next time I rode it the front brakes went out and ... I had a terrible accident. Again and again we took it to the shop for brake repair and finally took it to another dealer who said it was actually a manufacturer defect. The original purchase dealer told me that my weight (120 lbs) was the issue because I was too heavy. The sticker on the fender says rider weight limit 180 lbs. They then tried to blame it on my rear tires, which we had replaced. It has been one excuse after another to get this fixed properly. I rode it this morning to the end of the street and the transmission is whining severely and another trip to the shop is scheduled.I spend more time on the road to the shop and in the shop than I get to ride. I love the power this machine delivers the comfort and the looks. HOWEVER, if it is dangerous it is not SAFE. I would NEVER NEVER NEVER put a child on this machine. I am a grown woman who rides very conservatively. I have contacted Polaris main offices and get the run around. I would NOT purchase this machine. and because of the bad service from Polaris, I don't believe I would buy any Polaris product at all.

great looking quad
By Victoria Mitchell (I am an Owner) on Jan 13, 2009At the dealer when doing the final walk through on quad the kill switch when removed would not stop the engine. The dealer replaced this part four times with the other 90's on the showroom floor and the last time it actually worked. I took it out the next day to ride and when I pulled the kill ... switch the motor did not shut off. This a huge safety issue for me because this is my son's first bike. We now have to take it back again to have another try at fixing this problem. When I bought this Quad it took them over four hours for a temporary fix. I bought it at Bert's Mega Mall in Covina, CA.
