Kymco ATVs and UTVs - Models, Prices, Specs and Reviews
Kymco ATVs and UTVs have been sold in North America for many years now. The Kymco brand has been active since 1970 as a scooter manufacturer and has a history of supplying parts to companies like Honda, Kawasaki and BMW.
It was the youth market where Kymco ATVs really took hold in the United States and Canada and today you’ll find a host of Kymco ATVs for youth, utility and sport riding, along with a line of Utility UTVs.
Mongoose 70S/90S
The Mongoose 70S and 90S are Kymco’s current Youth ATVs. The Mongoose 70S features a 69cc engine, CVT transmission, single A-arm suspension up front and a swingarm design in the rear – all outfitted with preload adjustable shocks. Other featuers include a single headlight, rear grab bar, tether cord with safety cut off switch, and front drum and rear disc brakes. Move up to the 90S and get an 89cc engine, revere gear, and rear taillight. Prices start at $2249.
Mongoose 270
The Mongoose 270 is for riders 14 years and older and features a 270cc engine, fully automatic CVT with reverse, front and rear hydraulic disc brakes, dual A-arm front suspension, rear swingarm suspension, preload adjustable shocks, lightweight aluminum wheels, Maxxis Razr tires, and steel front bumper. Upgrade to the Mongoose 270 Euro and get anti-theft steering lock. Prices start at $3949.
Maxxer 450i
The Kymco Maxxer 450i is Kymco’s full size sport performance ATV. It is powered by a 443cc single-cylinder engine that is mated to a CVT automatic transmission with low, high, neutral, and reverse gears. Features include four-wheel independent suspension, on-demand 2WD/4WD, linked hydraulic disc brakes, five-position preload adjustable shocks, front bumper, rear grab bar, underseat storage, and 800 pounds of towing capacity. Prices start at $6249.
MXU 150X/270
For younger riders looking for a more utility-focussed machine, Kymco offers the MXU 150X and MXU 270. The 150X is designed for riders 12 and older and features a 149cc engine, CVT transmission with forward/neutral/reverse, single front A-arm suspension, rear swingarm suspension, preload adjustable shocks, dual headlights/taillights, steel front and rear racks, 300-pound towing capacity, and information display. Move up to the MXU 270 (riders 14 and older) and get a 270cc engine, dual A-arm front suspension, oil-dampened shocks, and 500-pound towing capacity.. The MXU 270 Euro model adds an anti-theft steering lock and fuel injection. Prices start at $3149.
MXU 450i
The most affordable of the adult-sized Kymco ATVs is the MXU 450i. The base model features a 443cc engine that produces 33 horsepower, four-wheel independent suspension, five-way preload adjustable shocks, on-demand 2WD/4WD with differential lock, steel front bumper, front and rear cargo racks, and 1050-pound towing capacity. Upgrade to the MXU 450i LE and get 12-inch aluminum wheels, 2500-pound winch, and painted matte green finish. Finally, the MXU 450i LE Prime comes with blacked out aluminum wheels and Kaifa gas shocks with compression, rebound and preload adjustments. Prices start at $5149.
MXU 550i EPS
For those who want a little more performance than, the Kymco MXU 550i EPS fits the bill. This ATV is powered by a 501cc single-cylinder engine and features four-wheel independent suspension, on-demand 2WD/4WD with differential lock and shaft drive, five-position preload-adjustable shocks, dual high/low beam headlights, two-inch receiver hitch, and 941 pounds of towing capacity. Prices start at $7349 equipped with electronic power steering.
MXU 700i Euro
The full-size MXU 700i Euro model shares many of the features of the MXU 450i, along with a a 45-horsepower 695cc engine, engine braking, combined brake system for more control, CV joint guard protection, front wide-arc A-arms, USB charging port, built-in storage compartments in front fender and center console, and anti-theft steering lock. Towing capacity is 965 pounds via a two-inch receiver hitch and riders are treated to an LCD dashboard. The MXU 700i LE EPS Euro adds electronic power steering, 14-inch alloy wheels, 26-inch tires, and 2500-pound winch. Prices start at $6999.
UXV 450i
You’d have to look hard to find a more affordable UTV than the Kymco UXV 450i. The base model features a 443cc engine that produces 33 horsepower, along with a CVT transmission, engine braking, on-demand 2WD/4WD, four-wheel independent suspension with front and rear dual control arms, hydraulic disc brakes, parking brake, preload adjustable shocks, 1200-pound towing capacity, tilting cargo bed with 440-pound capacity, tilt steering wheel, 12-volt DC charging port, bench seat, side safety nets, and seat belts. Upgrade to the LE model for 12-inch black and silver alloy wheels and 2500-pound winch. The LE Prime model features upgraded Stage 1 Elka shocks, front and rear bumpers, hard top, and windshield, while the LE Hunter has all that, plus bed extender, front and rear light guards, and front and rear fender guards. Prices start at $8199.
UXV 700i
The Kymco UXV 700i shares much in common with its little brother, but adds a 695cc engine that produces 45 horsepower and standard Kaifa gas-reservoir shocks with compression, rebound and preload adjustments. The LE EPS model adds black alloy wheels, 26-inch tires, electronic power steering, and 2500-pound winch. Prices start at $9149.
