Speed City was a very big disappointment. We bought a Kymco Like 200. The owner ordered it and he was great pre sale. He won't let anyone test drive any scooter. When we took delivery, I rode the scooter home for my wife. I was a mile down the road and I noticed the front end shaking. I turned around ... and headed back to Speed City. The owners reaction to my concerns was unreal. He was a total different person. He was very defensive. He was not about to give us our money back. We own it and that's just too bad. He was very pushy and rude.
I had to contact Kymco and complain. Eventually, the owner serviced the scooter and tried to make it better by balancing wheels etc. It is better. When we picked it up, he complained about how much time he worked on it. I can't understand the issue since Kymco pays him under the warranty.
Basically, the owner is a jerk. I would never buy anything from Speed City.

Very overpriced and very unprofesional ownership. One salesman seemed to be ok, but the main owner seemed to be rude, pushy, and lied to a customer over the phone about being "swamped" with customers inside, when I was the only person in the store. Also, when I told them that the same scooter I ... was looking at was over $1000 less OTD in Lafayette, IN, the salesman replied, "Well you better go to Lafayette." Not hard to do considering I live in Lafayette. It seemed to me that these guys make their money working with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and anything they sell in store is extra for them. Also, their "service" departmetnt was very tiny and appeared to not be running. I would suggest going out of town, or to a different dealer within Indy when in the market for a powerful, high-grade scooter.
