YAMAHA service and charges to repair a known bad design flaw is atrocious and should embarrass the company. There is a known issues with starters on the 1100 cc custom V-Star and the company / dealers refuse to repair at a reasonable cost or warranty the item. The worst part of the situation is ... after the repair the same part will fail ing a short period of time. Way to go yamaha. This attitude in the base philosophy of the company will cause me and other to not purchase yamaha products in the coming years from this type of company attitude.
WAy TO GO YAMAHA AND GOOD LUCK WITH REPEAT SALES.
