2017 limited 1000 canam
By Mike Striker (I am an Owner) on Nov 25, 2019Nice machine but like my older 2011 850 better. I ride a lot on some technical trails in Utah. I have to carry fuel with the 1000 and lucky to get 80 miles at best from a tank of fuel. My 850 is about 100 miles per tank. The newer bike has poor front end ground clearance. I am constantly clocking ... rocks that I easily cleared with the older machine.

Great ride
By Doug Schulz (I am an Owner) on Nov 18, 2017Besides being one of the most beautiful ATV's out there, the ride is wonderful. Comfortable gel seats smoke my Polaris XP 850 Touring's. Fit and finish is top notch. No loose things flapping around. After 650 miles, not a single mechanical issue and I have had it on many really rocky trails and in ... moderate mud. Rear passenger comfort is great. My wife falls asleep on long rides. Controls are a little confusing for air ride and power steering adjustment, menu dives. Lots of engine heat on my feet and lower legs. Power of 1000cc engine is great but a bit jumpy at lower speeds on rough terrain. Hard to reverse without jumping. Getting better with practice, though. No room on handlebars to add grip heater controls and no factory street legal kit. Had to cobble up mirror mounts and license plate mount. There is a battery charging pigtail, which is thoughtful, and a pigtail for the rear storage box taillight. Accessory storage boxes and fairly sturdy on the rough stuff. Easy to latch and remove. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this ATV. Drop a few grand off the list price and I would have two.

The Cadillac of ATVs
By David (I am an Owner) on May 04, 2017I took delivery January, 2017 and have put over 15 hours on the machine. I chose this make and model due to the Rotax engine, standard features, styling, fit and finish, comfortable seating and ride, and I liked the color. The Can Am makes the Polaris look like an ugly English bulldog. I have ... experienced no defects in any of the systems on it. I have followed the owner's manual for break in recommendations. I have now plowed some heavy, wet snow with it. I'm amazed how much it will push as I figured I would get quite a bit of wheel slip. I am not used to the throttle response and find backing up slowly to connect my trailer a bit dicy, but it is getting better with more hours on the machine. I find the handling good and the ride great. My dealer was fair with me, and has a good service department. The deal included two years of BEST limited warranty. I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this ATV so far.
